Diocesan Synod
On September 14, 2025, Bishop Rhoades officially announced the opening of the first diocesan synod in 100 years for our Diocese.
The Synod has multiple phases, but the most important part (beyond prayer) for parishioners of Sacred Heart is the parish consultation phase.
We will open this phase on January 14th, with Solemn Evening Prayer at 6pm in the church.
We will host our parish consultations on:
o February 25th @ 6:30pm – Church Basement
o February 28th @ 10:00am – Church Basement
Every parishioner is invited to attend and participate in the consultations. Sign up for the one you plan to attend via the link below.
How does the consultation work?
At the consultation, each parishioner will be at a table with 7 others. Three questions will be posed to the tables, and each person will get a set amount of time to respond to the question. Then each person will be able to point out something important they heard from another person. A notetaker will record the important points of the conversations, and these will be compiled to produce a parish synthesis to be sent to the diocese.
