Sacred Heart of Jesus Church - Serving the Communities of South Bend and Lakeville, Indiana
We direct this question to all Sacred Heart Parishioners: should we have a Hog Roast this year? We have the date but cost issues have come up.

We need your input!!

Thank you to all who participated in the Building On Our Legacy program either through prayer, contributions or both. you are good stewards to our wonderful parish!!!!

The campaign itself is over, but to keep us focused on the importance of our parish family, the blessings we continue to receive as a parish and the works we do to keep our faith active and open to others, we are taking time after the weekend Rosary to recite a prayer of gratitude and, hopefully, inspiration. The prayer is on a card inserted in the pew hymnal holder and can be said as directed by the Rosary leader or silently by individuals at any time. Thank you for your prayers for our parish!
A LETTER FROM OUR BISHOP

Dear Friends in Christ,

I cordially invite you to the Festival of Faith sponsored by our Knights of Columbus on August 15-16 this year. It is a wonderful opportunity for the people of our diocese to gather for fellowship and fun.

This year, the Festival of Faith begins on the feast of Our Lady's Assumption. I will be celebrating Mass on Friday, August 15th, at 6:00 PM in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne. All are invited to participate. At the end of Mass, I will be leading all who have done the 33 Days of preparation in the Consecration to Jesus through Mary. Then we will have a large Marian procession to Headwaters Park.

In order to develop a strategic plan that includes the insights of all stakeholders (parents, parishioners, alumni, etc.) we are reaching out to our members at St. Jude and Sacred Heart of Jesus to participate in our 2014 strategic survey. This survey will probably take 5 to 10 minutes, although not all questions will apply to all participants. For some it may go more quickly. The survey asks questions relating to our school's curriculum and instruction, overall building appearance and safety, the Our Time to Build campaign and renovation project, and School Choice programs and scholarships. We invite and value the support of our parishioners and former school families. We hope to share our renewed strategic vision with the parish as it takes shape in the fall of 2014. The survey can be accessed from this link and will be open until this Monday, June 2, 2014. A limited number of paper copies will be left outside the church: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/stjude2014.
