They are off on their honeymoon seeing parts of EU, including a visit to the Eternal City, where (taking her wedding dress along) they hope to participate in a papal blessing offered (apparently) to newlywed couples who arrive before the Holy Father dressed in their wedding attire. In any event, if we do not see a picture of the three of them, I’m including one of the two of them for all to enjoy! It was a very beautiful wedding and the liturgy and music/singing were wonderful to be a part of. I’m sure it helped to have many voices of friends from St. Olaf’s College, known well for their music and voice department (Abe’s alma mater).
ON A MUCH MORE SOMBER AND SAD NOTE, primarily to the St. Jude Community, I learned this past week of the passing of Mr. Dick Schultz, one of our long-time and great teachers here in our school. Equally sad was that his wife, known to many at Marian High School had passed away only weeks before Dick—so often the case that a husband of so many years dies soon after he loses his wife, or vice versa. I understand they both died in this past April. We will schedule Holy Mass for them in the near future. Please watch up-coming bulletins for more information. I ask that all who knew Dick well (and Caroline) keep them in your prayers. May they rest in peace.
